All these are a far cry from Brent Street early beginnings when Marianne, Karen, and Jacqui Howard founded the school twenty-two years ago in Drummoyne, Sydney. From the small church hall, it moved in to a large studio in Rozelle. After sometime, it moved again to a larger space at Camperdown, Waterloo, until it ended up in Fox Studios, now know as the Sydney Entertainment Quarter.

Brent Street Studio continues to produce world-class talents with its top-rated performance lessons on tap dance, musical theatre, drama, ballet, hip hop, acrobatics, jazz, and singing. With Brent Street Studio’s choices for dance lessons, you can be sure to have performing arts lessons that are perfectly suited to your competency level.

The dance school offers beginner lessons for three-year-olds, pre-teens, and even for the senior citizen age bracket. Its Full Time Certificate IV Performing Arts course, as well as Full Time Classical and Contemporary course, even the Talent Development High School allow for dance and performance arts enthusiasts from all walks of life to learn and discover the world of performance arts.

Brent Street has been the venue of many musical event rehearsals and auditions because of its state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. Major musicals like Wicked held its auditions in the spacious studio. It also became the main location for Razzle Dazzle. Warm-ups and rehearsals for great shows and films like Mao’s Last Dancer, It Takes Two, and Australian Idol took place in this world-renowned dance school.

Quite far from its small church hall dance area, the school now includes 6 dance studios, 2 private singing studios, a theatre, and an administration block for its offices.

Excellent dance choreography and performance arts are available to Australians and international students through the excellent training provided by Brent Street Studios.
